I would mention the ad I saw for MD turbines out of south Florida needing 8 OTR drivers, hauling jet engines all over the country, 60 CPM or more I believe to start, absolutely immaculate condition equipment, but I don't know if there's any sense. I'm trying not to be critical of the mans situation, but there's been a lot of viable options posted here to be able to get away from the rat race and none seem good enough, it's not for me to understand, but I sometimes wonder if the old saying "misery loves company" doesn't apply to the Crete/Shaeffer saga that's taking place. Best of luck to ya' driver.

I broke my golden rule of not returning to a former employer when I came back here. Turns out, I was right all along, it's never a good idea to go back to a company you quit, it doesn't work any better the 2nd time. What's the old saying, screw me once, shame on you, screw me twice, shame on me.

Tried to get back with an ex wife years ago also. That didn’t work out either.

Technically you didn't break the golden rule...Crete and Shaffer are two different company's...even if it's in name only

You're #### right about Estes but there's rain to go with that sun shine. Equipment ain't the best but the pay is. I'm making .74 HOME DAILY 490 miles a night.

So it would be like driving here with a daycab and a different color truck, I thought Estes drivers made big money. With my quartly mileage bonus, I am currently making .74 a mile and run 10-13k miles a month.

Not sure about that. My pay comes from the same place. Most of my B/L say Crete, my fuel receipts say Crete, my visits to Blue Beacon go on the Crete account. And our operations department uses the same 'Trucking Company Operations for dummies" book like it was the bible, just like when I was at Crete. Hell, I get called Crete on the CB all the time. The only difference is I now have lower mileage thresholds for a bonus and a raise, and I am making .02 cpm more than I would be if I were pulling a dry van with red logos

You drive a red truck right? Now if it was a blue one you might not be called creep so often.
