Don’t do a flease Mac Daddy unless you want to be married to truck. Save money and buy one or do real estate and make three times the amount in the current market. Read other threads besides this one. Only a few have come out ahead with a truck flease.

FCC's deal isn't a "flease". I should know, I did one of those once years ago. I swore I would never lease another truck again, but I can honestly say this is the only company I would consider something like this with. I have done my homework, gone over the number several times and talk to multiple drivers who are currently doing Leases here who are having success. It's just like everything else, is this right for everyone? No! But the current stage of life I am in, I feel it is right for me and my family. You can call it a fleece program all you want, but plenty of people have had success here, including the guy who started this thread.

That is how I bought my 1st truck. The company didn't call it a lease program, it was a company financed purchase. It wasn't a walk-away program, if you defaulted on your loan, it went on your credit just like if you borrowed money from a financial institution to buy one from a dealer and then failed to make the payments. The company I currently work for has a similar program to buy their trucks. The only difference is FCC does a much better job at maintaining their equipment than my company. Hope you have as much success as @runningman0661.

Running man was very successful. But every one like him there’s been 10 that failed.

That is very true, however IMO, that is usually mostly the fault of the driver and not the company / lease program. Way too many people get into this type of thing with no business sense whatsoever and think they can just run the same way they did as a company driver and everything will work out. You have to be willing to treat it like a business and run it as so. This definitely isn't for a company driver who only runs to run 500 miles per day going from truck stop to truck stop and complaining about everything that goes wrong and how it's everyone else's fault. I do have prior experience running a business, now does that guarantee I'm going to succeed here, absolutely not! But I think 99% of it is a mindset and work ethic. IF You are willing to work hard put in the time and make smart decisions, I believe a lease here could be very successful. For me personally I don't think a whole lot is going to change as far as my day-to-day operation, it kind of fits the way I run anyway. I don't take a whole lot of days off other than the normal weekend, and I occasionally work half-days on Saturday anyways. From the time I leave the house I try to be as productive as possible and utilize every single minute of my 11 hour drive time everyday. I am logging back on for a pre-trip as soon as my 10-hour break is up every morning I don't like to sit, so I think it will suit me pretty well. For the time being I'm not expecting to make a whole lot more then I am as a company driver right now, this is more about in the future 3-4 years down the road when the truck is paid off, and that payment is gone that is significantly more income obviously. Plus, you then have a lot of other options, you could go the route running man did and lease on someplace else or even trade the truck back in and lease a newer one with a cheaper payment with the equity from your trade-in. I have to talked to multiple guys who have done that already. One was on their second lease one was on his third and considering a fourth

@BigR lemme first say I wish you nothing but success and I’m eager to hear about the process. I’m definitely rooting for you. Now mind you my procrastination and ho-hum attitude would make me about the worst business owner ever, but, I think the other “flease” horror stories on TTR and leasing on to FCC are 2 completely different ball games. Now that’s just an uneducated opinion, but from what I can tell is I think truly FCC would want you to succeed. And 2 months before your lease is up I don’t see them starving you out and doing shady ####. But again that’s just an opinion based on zero research. Like I said tho I hope it works out you seem like a solid dude who knows what they’re doin, I wish you the best I think you can do it and do it successfully.

Chasing miles instead of revenue when you're buying the fuel doesn't compute in my book, no matter how you slice it.

Just because you are doing a Lp doesn't mean you're not family anymore. From what ive read and heard their going to take care of their drivers.

@BigR you’ll do fine, FCCs lease is the best I’ve ever come across, and they will bend over backwards to see you be successful.
Once you get settled into it, try and pay a little more on each payment if you can afford it, you can pay the truck off months ahead of schedule. Build up your maintenance fund as quick as possible, take a few cents a mile out as well for a rainy day/vacation fund. Payroll can do both of those for you. Make sure to take money out of each settlement for quarterly taxes. Any questions don’t hesitate to ask, good luck.
