    currently 21 based out of Tennessee.. Just wondering if anybody has previous experience as a inbound or outbound dockworker for old dominion? .. or even went threw their dock to driver program .. currently just got hired for inbound dock worker and I know after 6 months I’m going to apply for the dock to driver program just wanted to know more of what I’m getting my self into with old dominion preferably..

    Old Dominion is one of the best companies you could hope to get hired on to. Not union, but their pay and benefits often exceed what union jobs offer. Start building seniority NOW at 21 and you will have a comfortable life.

    Count your blessings. In my region (PNW) you don't just get hired on at 21. The last time I applied at my local OD I was told that with just TWO YEARS of driving experience and no tickets/accidents/incidents that I wasn't competitive for a driving job there.

    Don't question it. You lucked out.
    Don't get involved with gossip and don't talk gossip in the breakroom. The friendliest guy there is usually the company snitch and won't hesitate to exaggerate what you say when he gets the bosses ear. The best trucking companies in the world also have gossipy snitches that pretend to be your buddy.
