Want to talk about micromanagement,I got a load of gravel today from a large landscape supplier. The driver had to take a picture of the empty dump bed, another of the bed being down, and yet another of the PTO disengaged. He then had to text them to dispatch in order to get the ok to drive away.

With the number of instances of beds being left up in transit and tearing up bridges, signals, power lines, etc., I can’t say I’m too surprised. CYA as a business owner.

I worked for a place doing end dump work and had to send daily messages that we “removed our sand locks”, if we didn’t send the message we got a write up, if we broke a sand lock we received 3 days off without pay, ridiculous.

Load going near home has changed. When I accepted it, it was barely considered productive. Once dispatched, they moved it out a day. So, instead of 850 miles in 2 days, it's 850 miles in 3 days. And of course, because of the tons of construction zone delays in IN and PA, I didn't get to the yard before BH2.0 left for the day. These people truly can't be counted on when making plans...they are getting more disorganized by the load, they're almost as screwed up as Big G's disorganized operations department.

I got an abused ugly one. I just checked the prices of new dry vans and it’s still ridiculous. So I will be content with Tonn’s throwaway LOL.

Don't think of them as throw aways, think of them as hand me downs.
