What if it Snows?

ADM in Memphis used to be 3 deep as far as the eye could see.
The Cargill next door, that’s now torn down and an empty lot wasn’t much better.

Busch in a Jonesboro you line up 2 deep, they don’t start til like 0800, at 1330 they quit sampling and 1400 they close the inbound scale so the ones in unload weigh outbound and they leave you there.
Then the next morning they’ll reject the first few trucks for bugs, stain, or just because to make them look like they’re doing something.
That’s why I not only got myself banned, I got the company I used to work for all banned.

I did throw a good fit, even told the plant manager what I thought of him.
It was worth it, load paid $100 to truck I got 25%, then had to bring load back for half rate so lost my $25 and got $12.50 for 2 days.
I felt obligated.

 

I stayed working for a few more years there...

Just got my first honk request in my new rig... I was pulling out onto a main drag so i layed into it pretty heavy to get up to speed. I think the roar from my stacks got thier attention cause they whipped around from where they were standing and then pumped thier arms. Looked like a teenage couple, that gal was literally jumping up and down when I layed on the cord.

Put a BIG smile on my face.
