Dropped in Porterville, and they had 1 empty. But to my surprise, it was spotless inside, that's right, and empty trailer at a Walmart DC that doesn't have 2 Walmart bags of crushed pallet pieces. Grabbed it and rolled down to the T/A just north of the Grapevine. This trailer has a bad outside tire, kinda a flatspot, by going diagonal, and the one on the inside is fine. Will get it taken care of around dawn, then roll 20 miles north to pick up produce going to Woodburn, OR for Friday morning.

I am so glad I don't own a truck. I stopped at the Love's in Boron, CA for a shower and to top off the reefer since I was dropping it. Diesel was $6.65/gal cash pump price.

Coulda been worse. They could've done that to a drop trailer, with the doors shut, then every driver passed on taking it for a week or two...then it ends up being the only empty left. I had that happen to a trailer left at a Carrier dealer and a dozen damaged containers of greek yogurt got left in it for a couple weeks, that then exploded all over the inside. Took the Blue Beacon forever to clean it out good enough to get loaded.

The loaders are the laziest, whiniest sons of *****es in a Walmart DC. Normally family.

I received the greatest note of all time on a loaded assignment... Walgreen, OH unload time minimum 6.5 hours :biggrin_2551::biggrin_25516::biggrin_25513: thought we are starting to dump habitual customers that delay us like this idk

This is a first. Having that bad tire changed at a T/A shop in Cali. I had my tandems set forward of the 40' CA tag, the tire guy requested I slide my tandems to the California legal position before they work on it. Weird...maybe he thought I was loaded and heavy.

Has anyone ever gotten a legitimate reason for the stupid wellness message we sometimes get? I mean, do we really have that many drivers kicking off or getting so sick out here while parked that they need the corporate nanny system to call for help?

It gives the illusion to the famiky/public/civil lawsuit pursuers that the company cares. It's all about plausible deniability.

A decade ago, SRT had a driver pass away and SRT never checked on him for 4 or 5 days. Finally his wife got worried and if I remember right, she had badger his dispatch into calling the cops for a wellness check.. cops found him dead, notified SRT and his wife. SRT refused to assist in returning him home.wife sued the #### outta them and walked away with a sizable reward.

THATS why creffer does that. Not our of concern for the driver but to protect the company liquid asset

SRT also told the family they wanted $$ in order to assist getting his body and belongs back home to..the local Texarkana nbc station covered that.
