Tell me about it. I rather put up with her crap than the hell I would catch the next day at the barn.

It was definitely in my top 5 weird deliveries

Bringing that crap back as refused and having them think you’re too lazy to handbomb 10 boxes might be the best way to never land in that situation again.

At some terminals the lazier you are, the better you get treated.

Farva, Texas_hwy_287 and Cardfan89 Thank this.

I've always wondered ( I work at yellow too)- if it says on the bill liftgate and you don't fill in the little box do they still get charged? I thought no but just checking.

I've also heard if you check liftgate in the computer but don't fill in the box on the bill it might not get charged.

In most cases accessory charges are prepaid by the consignee. Especially if this is not a regular account.

Sales reps have a generous amount of leeway to waive certain fees if they are a regular customer and ship with us often.

I will flag both the paper DR and the computer for any accessory charges. Has little to do with nailing them with fees and more to do to cover my own arse if they question why I took so long at a stop.

This might be kinda petty.. but I've had accounts in the past that we serviced were I deliberately added on charges just to get them to swap carriers. It's not because I didn't want to do the stop. It's because they legit went out of their way to make my job harder than it should be. So I figured out a way to charge them for it.

Big dawgs gotta eat.... the more the company makes the bigger the bonuses. It also might pay for new tractors and what not. Fedex Freight brought in 60 million off detention charges alone in 2021

Still holding steady in my part of the midwest. Definitely not as crazy busy as it was a few months ago, but still busy enough to keep everyone working every day. I feel confident enough that I chose to go back to the extra board for the new bid.
