So the carrier can show they taught you how to identify hazmat and which loads require placards and because you can still haul hazmat without an endorsement. Less than 1,000 total pounds of limited or consumer quantity.

Managed to get the truck to the Freighiner dealer 9 miles away(thru 3 stop signs and 2 redlights), without being able to disengage the clutch...then where I parked to check in isn't where they want it, so I had to finagle it out of a parking spot and pull it out back where they want it. It truely would have been a lot easier if they wouldn't have put a neutral safety switch on a manual transmission so I could start it in gear...but I managed. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's something external, but when I called breakdown to get another issue resolved (the weaping injector seals that have been getting a little worse the last few months) they were already getting ready to book me a hotel room...I hope that isn't a sign that I may be here a while. I didn't see any empty trucks on the yard, so if they want me to swap, I am gonna have to go on a road trip.

They're probably netting more profit on that load than a 500 mile run.

I had a load 2 weeks ago that I drove a mile or two away from our DC to deliver. Because of the zip code they showed the delivery in I got paid 0 loaded miles. Just got the empty 97 and $35 drop pay. Have picked up the same load before but they showed the delivery in forest hill instead of ft worth and got paid 5 loaded miles and $35 drop pay

    dwells40 Thanks this.

No good news on the truck. They tested everything external and found no leaks. So it's either the master cylinder or the slave cylinder. And in a Freightliner, if it's the slave cylinder they have to pull the transmission because it's internal. So, I am in a hotel for tonight. They are waiting on the Freightliner corporate to recomend which way to go. Junkliners :puke:

I moaned and whined 4 years when my company replaced our fleet with auto’s. Wouldn’t anything else now. Getting too old to churn butter in traffic. Left leg feels better also.
