A lot has changed in the past couple of years, as we all know. Pay across all industries has increased. Trucking is no exception. I have seen mileage pay for tanker drivers jump significantly at some companies and sign on bonuses have gotten larger as well.
So, I ask the following: What companies have caught your eye for offering more to their drivers, in pay and/or benefits or equipment?

We seem to load and deliver to the same places. I've heard stories about other companies (I drive for IRT), but who knows if that info is accurate.CAXPT and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -

Not since last year. Still at 53 CPM, with 5 or 6 cpm extra when loaded with hazmat. Don't really do enough of those to notice the extra.

It will depend on what the rates do. Most of our contract rates and spot rates have gone way up in the past year. If/when theres a serious downturn those rates will have to come down to stay competitive. The run I did last week paid me $.81/mi hub, I don't see that happening during the next recession.

Depends on what the company hauls. As Dave said, fuels and propane etc. will pay a lot better especially in winter. There will always be a demand for some chemicals. The companies that can keep and maintain delivery contracts will survive especially if they can keep qualified drivers.
