So, why not do the short run and then the NC run? Is it getting the miles on the next paycheck instead of the one after?
    Sorry if I’m being ignorant….

That sounds really good. I also live on a dirt road on just under 3 acres. Two large garages, one big, the other massive. I grew up and lived most of my life in large urban areas, now I absolutely wouldn't trade my dirt road for anything. I may buy a modest condo as a second place in the future, but am never giving up the place I'm at now.

Just shy of 45% it's bs I have 3 collecting fault info alerts, bad batteries (just had then replaced at Russellville mo) and breakdown told me to idle to juice the batteries and sat 3 days due to customers and opti idled more than just the night due to delays... I believe it's a glitch by due to it I'm being told I have a bi weekly conference call with home terminal to improve bad habits... wonder if I can go to staffs homes while their sleeping and change the thermostat to off on triple digit hot summer days? Things are getting out of control here... I was held hostage trying to exit the wmt in arcadia fl short on time trying to get home and got held up by a helicopter landing to transport a trucker I assume that had a heart attack fire trucks emt and hwy patrol blocked off the entrance and exit for the helicopter to land this... preventing any tucker to enter or exit wmt it was an unusual display of events that caused me to be delayed on homwtime by one day since your not allowed to pc to a terninal where your personal vehicle is... ohh well your a trucker is what I hear... stay safe out there

Added to my list! My friend at magnum (former reefer outfit) she got 180 for for breakdown while peterbilt was in shop for Def sensor issues also... here you'd be harassed within 24 hours to either get a Loaner or do recovery and risk getting the Monkey box in an unsanitary unknown Loaner truck for who knows for how long but no home time for you on our dime you work now, no sitting around here and apparently maybe no so called excessive use of your opti idle... getting a bit nuts over here

Because, it's a 6 am live unload...no parking at customer. Then a 10 am live load 40 miles away. Which means, with traffic in the Stocton/Tracy area, I have to start my day by 5 am. Then by the time I get empty, down to the shipper and get loaded I would not have enough time on my 14 to run enough miles on Monday in order to be able to get to the receiver in the remaining 4 days of the pay period. Besides, when I got to the drop yard to pick up the load, the numbnuts driver who dropped it didn't leave the bills in the nosebox so they're isnt any bills to deliver the load with...and the ######## in operations won't take me off the load now...so, this whole short #### load will cost me a 2800 mile load, and a good weeks pay...again. This company's weekend dispatch are total #### bags...and I couldn't care less if they died a horribly slow tortured death...I would simply be greatful for the little boost in O² there would be after they're gone. As far as carryover miles, I needed it for a good check. Last paycheck was $0 (actually -$165 for my weekly health insurance) this weeks pay won't be stellar because of the holiday. I had 2300 miles by Tuesday, then 3 short loads, one of which was only 15 miles, so I will have a check for around 2500 miles(which will have the extra insurance amount deducted)...if I don't get to NC, then my total miles for the following check will be 1200 miles + a short haul bonus($35)...so that's 3 #### checks in a row...I cannot afford that.

Not this quarter. Especially since this short #### they have been giving me means this will be the 3rd bad week in a row. I won't even clear 26,000 this quarter, if I stayed to the end of it.

I've never had a negative paycheck in 26 years of driving.

    Just sayin'.

This has been a short quarter for me. Got my quarter reminder msg and need 9000 miles in what's left of this month. Not happening.

Also was lucky to be given this beer load. Had 2 preplans they sent, then took off me before I woke up, and both were short. First was a 200 mile run that had 24 hours on it for a live then a 500, 2 day run after that.

    Just weekend being weekend.

Kinda happy I got my hazmat and twic back on me cause if things go sideways, I always have plan B.
