What if it Snows?

I was sitting at a truckstop diner Thursday evening BS’ng with a driver I was stalking from receiver to shipper. Turns out he lives close to me and worked a few miles from where I grew up. Knew some guys he worked with.

My back was facing the register. He stopped talking, pointed and rushed out if his seat. I turn around to see a young man passed out on the floor. To me this is not a big deal as in our area it’s usually an overdose and I won’t get involved in that crap.

They got him set up on the floor with ice on his neck. Turns out it wasn’t an OD. The kid says it happens from time to time and has no idea what it is. Strange and dangerous.

He gets up and sits at the counter to get his bearings. A minute later he passes out again. He hits hid head on back of stool and then slips in between seats and counter. Seats are bolted to floor so he is now stuck and they can’t get him out.

He comes to again and they call the ambulance. Someone got his phone and called his dad. From what I heard, he has been checked out and they have no idea why this happens to him. Crazy.

 

Been 7 months. The old Joe would have given up and probably drove all over and personally cussed every idiot who effed this up along the way.

 

Sounds like it could be central vertigo, cause can be anything from vestibular neuritis (inner ear infection with pressure on nerves), to undiagnosed stroke damage. The human body and the great apes are odd in our vertical design which is less efficient for pumping blood, as well as the myriad minor ailments than can cause major issues.

 

The good old days, could run over a dime and tell if it's heads or tails with that rig.

The time has come, the day awaits no one, so someone has to go to work, guess I’ll do it....


A book fell on my head the other day. I only have my shelf to blame though.

 

There seems to be a heatwave following Dave east. Mild discomfort in the future. The return to normal is scheduled when Dave goes westbound. This phenomenon needs to be monitored for long term data.
