Started at 4am. Stopped at Loves in Domino, tx for fuel. Got to terminal ready for the rest of the day off. Ended up heading back down through Houston, at 2:30, heading to load in the am south of Victoria. Am camped out at a TA in Ganado,Tx, which after dealing with Houston traffic was as far as I could get before I ran out of hours. So for the first time in 8 years, I'm going to be sleeping in the truck 2 nights in a row. Mrs kemo is not pleased.

Well took off for the shop to get chain and sprockets installed. Going down the road noise got worse. Felt and sounded like rocks rattling around in crankcase.
Then started hearing a high pitched whine . Not good. Then lost 5 th gear. Not good . Then after more bad noises lost all gears and was dead in the water. Not good.
Called tow truck and they were there in 30 min. That’s good. 150 bucks to tow it 7 miles. Not good but whatever. The guy knew what he was going. Nice guy.
So it’s either clutch or tranny gave up. After it cools off some I’ll pull off the clutch cover and check for carnage.
Might be the end of my bike riding days.
At least it didn’t crater bad enough to lock the rear wheel. That would be not good.
LoSt_AgAiN, Feedman, Oxbow and 10 others Thank this.
