Swift has the drivecams, and it doesn't matter how clean your record is.
They can tell if you roll through a stop sign, run a red light, are going faster than the posted speed, distance behind a vehicle and if you are closing or backing off... Hard braking or cornering also sets off an event.

My current (and usual) drivecam score is zero, but it has been as high as 8.
We get our safety bonus if the score is 20 or below.

It really is not that difficult to drive safely. It just takes a little patience and a cool head.

When you hire on with crete..if you have to have a drive cam immediately its due to past record..otherwise no..that’s the point i am making

    Got it, thanks.

Swift has them in every truck.

U-turns have been a major no-no here at Creaffer for decades, regardless of the road. I believe it is specifically covered in orientation...U-turn = unemployment.

Uhh what? Companies that use drive cams use them regardless of what your previous driving record is. Like Moosetek13 said, swift has them in every truck. So does my company. Luckily my current company doesn't have the smartdrive point system like swift. I can actually make a u-turn (if needed) and not immediately get a call from my DL.

It is the same at Swift.

I think the only exception would be in MI where they make you do a u-turn.

I drove for Shaffer and currently drive for Hunt. I haven't heard of any of that. No one told me no Uturns or no California stops.

My trucks don't have any cameras at all. It beeps at me if my truck coasts downhill too fast.

I had no idea Crete had rules like that. I've never heard or been told a thing. The only thing I get phone calls about is screwing up my fuel routes and fueling where they didn't want me too, or pumping the wrong amounts. They are anal about that.
