water pump put on at speedco..N little rock.
(they don’t normally do water pumps, but the thing blowing apart while the flushed radiator means it’d have to have ben towed from shop.

    So.
No Truck, it’s in shop bay, no air, no bed.
walked to motel by the beacon, it was full of maverick trainees.
Van ride from N Little Rock to Days Inn LONOKE, AR.
    $109.89 for a night.
All you double bunk guys are missing out on a goldmine renting that top bunk out.

Van ride leaves at 0900 tomorrow.

Yeah that's kinda what I'm thinking... Found a conection through that power steering line and arcd to the bracket that holds it in place... Thereby blowing the line.

I will say this... ANYONE who says they miss the days before power steering must be a glutton for self punishment... I aint never worked so hard to turn a truck around in my entire life!!! Them old boys must have had arms like Popeye!!!!

Not a bad looking animal... Little small in the front quarters, and slightly high withers.... But I'm used to looking at working ranch horses, I prefer them built a little heavier.

Me personally I would just dive in. As u take stuff apart take a picture of it before u unbolt it . Maybe label everything and bag it up all the bolts and parts to be extra safe.. For me that's the best way to learn.. I'm sure u could find a service manual for that engine somehow somewhere then just follow directions

I think it probably harder to run a truck equipped with power steering that has failed than it would be to run a truck with no power steering at all...Since they are 2 different systems. I know least in a pickup truck it is that way..

Probably so... It wasnt bad out on the big road... But get o,to the 2 lanes and I #### near neaded the entire intersection to make the corner... I just couldnt heave the wheel fast enough... And you can for get about grabbing a gear mid turn... Lol

I did about 60 miles that way to get from site of break down to delivery, then home.

Doesn't help that steering wheels are smaller now too.
