JBS load a nightmare. Was suppose to be ready at 0400 but as of 2000 still not ready.

Not even a full load either, just 9 pallets...

Dispatch not really wanting to get me anything else since I already deadhead over 500 miles to pu this load.

Don't really mind sitting here but dang JBS slower than normal.

This is the exact reason I quit Heartland. I finally figured out what my equivalent hourly pay would be and it was less than $20/hr. I didn't count known delays either, like sleeping for 4 hours. Only all my on duty/driving including times when I had to constantly check in with the shipper or receiver or wait in line.

You're at the greeley plant right? I have mixed feelings about that place. Usually get decent loads out of there, and when they're ready it's fine, but when things go wrong, they go WRONG! That truck stop at the 85/34 junction closed for some reason, so now there's just that little gas station down the street.

    newbietrucker91 Thanks this.

I simply would’ve sent them a msg for this shenanigans…take me off the load or where do you want your truck parked…

Nope. It would cost them a day of layover. That load of dead cows is not that important to me, just like it isn’t important to Shaffer, or JBS.

What is our churn or rate of driver turnover?
