According to thermo king Dallas, lincoln sent pictures of where they wanted the tripaks installed…directly next to the dpf filter.. according to thermo king, they had to run the apu wiring around the dpf..they said it was a challenge…

Einstein's theory of relativity. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction...in Creaffer terms, you had a good week, now you have to pay for it with bad week(s) to balance it out.

Wonder if they had to add some extra heat shielding to protect the APU from the heat of the DPF. Seems to me, putting it where most companies do on the passenger side, then putting a step box on the other side for chain storage would make more sense...but what do I know, I iz gist a stooped truk dreyever.

There is no heat shield at all that i could see..the wiring is going to melt..then they’ll say apus are garbage and aren’t worth it..

My company has ours behind the fairing on the passenger side next to the fuel tank. Fairly easy to access although mines a carrier not a tripac

Where is the dipstick on the thermokings? On a carrier unit it would be fine. I wish more companies would mount them up there, across from the def tank. They are similar width and you could run symmetrical fuel take setup.

On the side access door, ours are behind the passenger tank.

With that set up there will be no way for the driver to access the compartment inside the Tri-Pak to check the oil or the condition of the belts whatsoever
