Got reintroduced to Gene Tracy this evening— highly recommend a session for those that don’t know who he is— especially the preacher and the piccolo player— and we watched 100 or so of those elk thingy’s do elk thingy stuff for about 45 minutes— it’s a hard, uncivilized life

Post number 119761. @Cat sdp shows a picture of an engine tag. On the tag it says "Dedicated Assembly".
I was curious as to what that meant. I can think of several possible answers, most of them smart-### and probably not correct.

    Did it say delegated assembly?
If so, that would be related to how the engine/vehicle was sold by an emissions certificate holder.

Let’s pick on ford, they hold an emissions certificate, that allows them to sell complete vehicles with all equipment installed. They can also sell a chassis to say a bus manufacturer that is powered rolling stock. That would be an engine, transmission and suspension mounted to a frame only. No emissions/exhaust system or body work, thats the bus manufacturer’s responsibility, they are then required to install the appropriate components. Ford has delegated the final assembly to the bus company for compliance. Fully built repower or crate engines are also labeled that way. It’s a legal thing. Keeps the OEM out of trouble.

We didn't get out of The Ho without being FLEECED.

    FLEECED
at the Boise Stage Stop for an extra $20 for a lousy 20 gallons of fuel.

Pulled in to the TA and the entire fuel island is closed.

Which isn't bad if you're going west. If you're going east however, it sucks.

    FLEECED

    BSS looking a bit dumpy.

Wonder if anyone ever suggested to the owner if he didn't ### rape anyone needing fuel, the volume of his business would probably increase.

Way the Gearjammer in Mountain Home before it burned down under mysterious circumstances and then a mega instantly took its place— wouldn’t surprise me to see about the same thing there
