@Lennythedriver First Fleet needs drivers in Raleigh area...its like .65cpm to start and your home EVERY weekend. Good benefits. Drop n hook for a particular customer. No I dont run for them.....
Edit to add: K&B Transportation offers a minimum of $1625 per week for company drivers in your area. IDK what that all entails though..Opus, Another Canadian driver and 062 Thank this. -
kllm and ffe are 2 days off per 7 out; I’m not sure what ffe is paying, but most kllm fleets start at 60 cpm, +1-2 cpm per year of experience up to 10yrs (no other bonus cpms, just exp). I’d look at southeast regional ($1700 minimum guarantee) or a dedicated acct in your area (call and ask), avoid the otr ########.
When I was otr, I did 3-4 weeks out for 6-7 days (a week) off, now I go dedicated cross country 2-3 times (5-7 weeks, sometimes short runs in between the long) for 7-8 days off (max I can do and keep same trk). At FFE, you might be able to get more off with same trk; afaik, max is supposedly 7 at both, but I’ve gotten extra days and @Jenn72 has reported more at FFE.
Taking more than 7 days, hometime caps at 14, is usually associated with the requirement to park on a yard and clean-out; FFE has a yard in Rocky Mount, NC. Not sure what they’ve got to offer out of there; probably linehaul, regional, and local positions. You can also park kllm trks there and probably clean them out there as well, but I wouldn’t expect to get one off there on return.
DHT is 1.5 days off per 7 out. You’d probably see a longer avg length of haul with them; only ffe linehaul and a kllm dedicated might be comparable for length.Last edited: Sep 12, 2022

If i was in your scenario I’d call up Walmart or UPS. Assuming your record is, in fact, clean. I know in Chicago they are always hiring. Not sure about out there but you’d be surprised. I usually make conservative career choices. I think UPS tests on a manual still.

Fremont contract carriers out of Fremont, Nebraska. Hands down the best company I have ever driven for. They have freight out of the Carolinas, they run all 48, if you stay out three weeks, home time is flexible.
