I love it here personally.
I probably average $1500 gross per week, including bonuses, as long as I stay out at least 3 weeks at a time (which I do 99% of the time). I probably average 1 week off per month, so:
40 weeks X $1500 gross = $60,000 gross per year.
I'm at $0.58 CPM base pay but I came onto the company with just shy of 3 years experience (will be 4 years experience in several months). There's potential for $0.05 CPM bonus each month on the total calendar miles for the month as well.
I've never picked up or delivered in the whole state of Alabama since I've been with Magnum (maybe once, I would have to check, don't think I have though). I rarely drive through the state either. That said, I spoke with a driver from Louisiana months ago and he was very happy here at Magnum, so you might be alright.

I came on as an experienced driver last October and the pay scale that Tony sent me said experienced drivers started out at $0.54 CPM - $0.57 CPM base pay (I came on at $0.54 CPM and am only at $0.58 CPM because we had a 4 cent raise across the board to our base pay for the OTR division in spring).
I'm not saying you're lying, but you registered yesterday and you have 2 posts to this forum. Just sounds kind off based on what I know about Magnum's payscale (but it could've changed since last year I don't know). -
I don't live in Coon Rapids but I've actually done that before if I have a load close to home, I'll ask for a 34 reset after I deliver and they've been cool with it. You can ask for a 34 hour reset anytime you want. The Twin Cities Metro is the perfect place for you to be if you go OTR with Magnum, you'll be through that terminal all the time. I deliver and pickup in the Minneapolis/St Paul Metro WAY more than I do in Fargo or ND in general (not sure why it just works out that way usually). Although I do drive through ND somewhat reguarly, I just don't ever pickup or deliver in that state too often (for whatever reason).
If you end up applying, make sure to ask Tony (the recruiter), he can let you know for sure or maybe some other drivers who live in the Twin Cities can comment about taking 34's in Coon Rapids on a regular basis. I really don't think the MN dispatcher or your DM will mind though, things are really laid back here from what I've seen.Zangief Thanks this. -
Good luck and I hope it works out for you, I enjoyed my time at Magnum before moving on to open deck stuffZangief Thanks this. -
Thanks very much for the info @Winnyf1 and @MaineRoad96!
MaineRoad96 and Winnyf1 Thank this. -
I suggest you tone down the totally unwarranted attitude. @MaineRoad96 only cited a pattern we’ve seen here before, not attacked you personally.JoeyJunk Thanks this. -
