Hi all: I'm starting a new thread because I really can't find much on Veriha. I'm SERIOUSLY thinking of signing on the dotted line for a 10/17 training start date (1 year contract.) I will head to their local terminal this week and talk to some drivers, but does anyone have first-hand experience working for them?

I'm really looking for specific examples of the good, bad and the ugly. Thanks All.

They're average. Management and dispatch are reasonable especially if you're getting the loads done.

    Lots of Midwest to Northeast.

A fair amount of paper recycling and those facilities are lousy.

Some of their drop lots are in bad shape especially the one in Romeo, IL.

I was based out of the main terminal in Marinette, WI. They had their own repair bays and did okay on repairs and the trucks were decent.

One thing you might consider coming out of PA is Veriha really wants drivers to avoid Toll Roads.

Thanks, that's one thing that I did hear, but seeing the PA turnpike is "the most expensive toll road in the world" I can almost see their point.

"Management and dispatch are reasonable especially if you're getting the loads done."

Thats what I'm really looking for. Every place has good and mostly bad, but if I do my part, I want to know that they will do theirs.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.

With 12 mos experience Veriha has a entertainment division out of Las Vegas. Haul equipment for bands, etc that are touring the USA.

They also prefer drivers even avoid the Tolls in Chicago which is absurd for the Wisconsin drivers. However, sometimes I'd get something going to Albany, NY and they gave an exception to take the NY Thruway. I think a lot of it is not wanting tons of regular use of the Chicago Tollways or the IN / OH Turnpike adding up.

    Thanks for the reply!

I got my conditional offer to attend training in Wisconsin today and I accepted. So this is something I'm going to have to figure out before I start driving for him but I believe it's doable.

Every company has its good and bad points, and if this is the worst they do I can certainly live with it

Good luck if you’re employed at a company that’s been bought out by Veriha. They’ll make big false promises about “keeping the current team together, then will take all the good equipment & freight for themselves and their Veriha-trained drivers(who will act like holier than thou snobs), and leave the drivers of the bought out company with ####. Eventually they will drive out all the people from the old company. Just ask the form GSTC drivers who were sold out to Veriha by the original GSTC owner/founder’s greedy, conniving rat son in law.
