Hard to believe a multi billion dollar corporation wasn't up to date with their insurance policy or premiums
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Of course it looks like the fire department did possibly make it worse by shutting of sections of the fire suppression system. At least that's Walmarts claim. It could have been as simple as turned off for safety reasons (people couldn't get out) or they needed the water pressure elsewhere. Whatever the reason they are going to have to justify it to a court.olddog_newtricks and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
i hope they lose and pay the fire dept a #### ton of money.... maybe you shouldnt ####ing call them when ur ####s on fire and there wont be no problems.

At a previous employer 2 separate incidents happened 1 involved that companies truck burning to the ground and also burning and causing a total loss to an employee private vehicle.
2nd instance was me coming in at end of work week to see my pickup side swiped and creased by the truck/trailer parked beside me.
After notifying safety immediately I was told "Well thats why you have insurance" asked to see parking lot surveillance cams company had and was told conveniently they weren't working at time.
Needless to say left a sour taste and I fired myself shortly afterD.Tibbitt, Another Canadian driver, mjd4277 and 3 others Thank this. -
Typical Walmart mgt…they blame everyone else but themselves for anything that happens..
D.Tibbitt, Another Canadian driver, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this. -
Getting a judgment of shared liability could let walmart off the hook for paying for a lot of the products destroyed.
Or it will protect walmart from being sued for their own role.
Heck, just filling the lawsuit probably means they get more time to pay.
Lots of reasons to go through the motions.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Another Canadian driver and Coover Thank this.

Because nothing says “we’re an all American company” like forcing suppliers to shift manufacturing jobs over to China.
