I know the feeling. That boom lift I picked up in AZ and delivered to McConnell, that HAD to be tarped, was unloaded and set beside another piece of equipment in the middle of the parking lot, outside.

Had a humerous conversation with the Mrs. yesterday. I tend to multitask while I am chatting. I was reviewing my log for yesterday when I mentioned that I had ran 469 miles yesterday. Her reply was, "short day for you today"...which got me thinking...over on my Shaffer thread it has been discussed that they have many drivers there that only desire to run 3-350 miles a day...and here my 469 miles is considered to be a short day. Imagine how those drivers over at Creaffer would feel if they needed to run say 600-700 a day (I choose to run like that, I'm not required to do it)...I bet most of them would quit.

Other than the Collision Avoidance nanny on my front bumper, I love it here.

I would've at least asked for $1.25/mile and made them say no before just dropping them like that. :D

Do they ever acknowledge your response or just send another text a week later?

No reply from them. They sent @drvrtech77 almost exactly the same message except it was from his old terminal and from the Wilmer terminal manager. Must be a canned message. I blacklisted the number so it'll never get thru again.

Nope no tarping. These sit outside at our place and the receiver. My left shoulder is so bad I couldn't put a tarp on to save my hide. I don't pull flatbed scrap loads because I can't throw the straps high enough to go over the top. These logs are not a problem for straps.

Finally got a load. Elevator(s) out of Joliet. I had dispatch double check that they load elevators on step decks, and he assured me they do. I'll be taking it up to the yard in Arlington. With this 1st burst of schmutz coming across the country, it is windier than heck coming up from St. Louis.
