Oregon prepares to become the first U.S. state to offer controlled use of the psychedelic mushroom to the public.

Prohibition has never worked. If it's illegal you can't talk about it for fear of being arrested and can't get the support to get out of it.

Then again I have a slight level of concern for folks that feel they NEED a drink of whiskey or a six pack to face their home life. Not that a nip is bad, could be a good reset button. But the NEED is a concern.

My understanding is the mushrooms are to be prescribed by a licensed practitioner in a controlled environment. I can be O.K. with that, have heard of some positive outcomes. Dealing on the streets/recreational use is not being encouraged.
