$25-$50.00? Sure, I'm good for it. $410.00? That's another story, especially if Creaffer was aware of a lumper fee at this customer,. Then pushing the blame to payroll. Let's see how quickly reimbursement comes.

My limit for covering lumper fees and reimbursement was 150 when I did reefer, and that was only if it was the online version where debit cards run instantly. I hated waiting 20 minutes for the Qualcomm and 10 minutes for the EFS to go through. No way I’d cover 410 though. With how many times I’ve had stop pay, detentions, and reimbursements require a phone call to be added to my check, I’m not risking it for 410. Basically giving a 410 dollar zero interest loan to a huge corporation. I bet they wouldn’t allow a one time 410 dollar cash advance in return

the largest expense I’ve covered regularly is crossing the truck ferry in Detroit. $300 cash only. They wouldn’t let our company set up an account because we crossed only a few times a year during spring thaw laws.D.Tibbitt, dwells40, newbietrucker91 and 3 others Thank this. -
I can’t believe they don’t have anyone in Lincoln today to deal with that…that’s what’s wrong with mgt…trucking is not bankers hours…they need to have someone there to handle those lumper issues around the clock…they did at one point, im wondering if they decided to make more changes and cut back personnel…

Here a more detail report.
Unloaded at a capstone facility. After unloaded was done, got lumper amount and sent in our lumper payment msg.
In under 3 minutes I got the approval msg saying lumper is approved and the money code will be sent later.
I waited a whole hour and no code came in. Even msg dispatch and told to try calling our payroll department since they can't issue money codes.
Spent ANOTHER hour on hold just listening to elevator music and the "Thank you for holding, a representative will be with you shortly". At this point I'm extremely exhausted and want to head out and the customer wondering what the hold up with the lumper pay so I just paid it to get out.
Received a receipt which I turned in with my scanned bills but I need to make sure payroll knows I never got a lumper code.
Mostly so I get the 410 and it doesn't pay for a 'lumper cost' that they never paid for.
Edit
Also this was around 10am in the morning so unless a whole department went on break for the whole hour I was calling, I can either assume the holiday caused a short in staff, and no one showed up or I was just being ignored.dwells40, gentleroger, Winnyf1 and 3 others Thank this. -

This is another reason I won’t work for a company that doesn’t have someone available 24/7. If I’m working, there best be someone available to handle whatever I need done.

Our overnight dispatch used to be literally a person with a company phone at their home, yet I've never waited more than 10-15 minutes tops for them to get back to me about lumper payments. Usually it's much shorter than that. And we also have a switchboard number we can call during the day that will start ringing phones in the office until someone picks up. And this is at a company with ~270 trucks. Creaffer has no excuse.
