They give you a substantial relocation stipend, though.

Yeah you clearly work at Estes but this is my favorite game. I'll play...

This is the week before last check after taking a sorry run that pays 2110 miles a week. I'll post this Wednesday also since I worked 7 days. I'm not that far off despite the cuts I've had to endure lol.

I wish you the best. I had to make the same painful choice and leave Holland. I am still very upset about leaving. Do what is best for you and find something to help you keep the lights on at home.

That was the issue with Holland. The Columbia terminal covers Augusta, Charleston, and Florence. Those cities have existing YRC terminals that will absorb their zip codes when everyone is officially Yellow. Columbia's service footprint will shrink, and with it the number of drivers they need.

They told us we could follow our freight and they would even pay for us to relocate. This is the worst time in my lifetime to sell and buy a home. Plus I am in the best school districts in the State of South Carolina and my muppet 5 year old is about to start school.

Relocation is an absolute no. I feel for anyone that is forced to make some serious and difficult decision. I did not want to do what I did. I sent my supervisor a long goodbye message. She later told me that she was outside crying after she saw it.

Well, sounds like you have your priorities straight.
It'll all sort its way out in a year or two. We'll again be looking at companies come and gone. But family should be forever.
As long as you have a CDL, you have a job.
    Best wishes @road_runner

What's a substantial relocation stipend look like when a driver is 15 years into a 30 year mortgage?
Not harshing on anyone. But I'm just saying, sometimes they treat you no better than a piece of equipment that can be relocated at a whim.
