    That’s to much like work.
Pin truck is cheap and easy, be done and gone while someone is looking for a stick.

    It's not that tough.
Just mark where you want to be.
It'll probably take a couple of times, but you'll get it.
You can carry chalk, or you can just use a rock.
I'd say start with chalk. In a couple of years you'll be up to rock.

    Best wishes my friend.

It also depends on the load. If what threw your drive tandem over is noseloaded doublestacked liquid totes with the back half the load being considerably lighter product like air filters, sliding the trailer tandem might not even fix that.

I figure out how many holes I want to move, and look to see just how far that is. Then, using my step as a guide, I move the truck that far. It never occurred to me to actually work out how many little step holes equal one slide hole, I just estimate how many inches I need to move it. I’m rarely more than one hole off…

Hate to sound rude but that’s just not true....a very few trailers have 2” distances....Most are 4” and that’s 400lb per hole....
Every trailers different....even among the same mfg
    You cannot generalize....
Other than to say The further apart the holes the more weight per hole movement...and conversely the shorter the distance the less weight

    Numb Thanks this.
