And I would like to publicly thank the people who invented Salonpas gel patches with lidocaine. The few months after I had that load where I dinged my back tightening that conestoga, they made it possible for me to do my job, now at times like I have been going thru since my last hometime where I either pulled a conestoga or a no tarp load, it made me a bit lazy, so when I get back to back tarp loads like these, I am glad I still have a supply of those patches left.

Got a message on the way to the address that we originally sent to deliver to, change of address. Turns out they told us to deliver to the general contractor's business office the first time. Got routed to Seattle, just on the other side of I-5 (but nowhere near an exit), near a UW campus. A royal PITA to get a road truck and 53' trailer to...but hey, that's flatbed and that's why they pay us the big bucks.
My view
Yes, that's the space needle and the mast of a ship (or a tug, I can't see the bottom)Last edited: May 22, 2023

4,266 mile later, my 70 has finally had enough. I think that’s probably the most miles I’ve done in one 70 before.
I was loaded to start, quick one piece unload, drop and hook a preloaded power only trailer, and the customer does all the work on the other end. As much as I think I’m going to hate this new truck, it’s pretty #### gravy here.D.Tibbitt, Lonesome, Itsbrokeagain and 3 others Thank this. -
Well, the unload took a while, but it could be worse, another elevator parts load showed up while I was getting unloaded (not an SPD) and the guy told him he couldn't take it today and to come back tomorrow. Then it was a never ending traffic jam getting back to the interstate. Got my next load. Pick up scissor lifts in the morning, 3 stop delivery in GA and FL, due by next Wednesday. Should put me in the mid-11k for the month which isn't bad considering all the 34's I've been getting waiting on loads. Plus, my travel agent is back at his post, you really don't know how good you got it until it's not there.
Sitting here in N. Bend and a TSH just drove by with a load of lumber... Tennessee Steel Haulers hauling wood. And I saw a number of COTC trucks on my way out here hauling bales of scrap cardboard...I guess it's anything to pay the bills right now I suppose.
