Worst job I ever had. Trucks have 400k miles on them and have to make deliveries in tight ### parking lots in LA. Unloaded 1000 cases/ heavy totes took a toll on my spine. Dealing with store managers that want to rush you to unload quicker. Their trucks have driver facing camera.
I did not like not having a set start time. One day start at 0230 the next 0400. I live 45 mins away from yard and coming home had to deal with traffic, take a shower, eat dinner. I would probably get 5 or 6 hrs of sleep. I only lasted a month. Now I’m still looking for work.

Doesn't sound like a "BAD" company to me. Sounds like the price you're gonna pay being local, home every night...

Be glad you didn't have to "turn on an 8" and live that far away
LOTSO Thanks this. -

400k miles? My truck has 750k. Lol
I like my truck. Both truck and trailer are assigned to me. I rarely have issues with either. But, I drive a Pete 389.
I’ve heard they’re built a bit better than the typical “fleet” trucks.
I’m local. I pull a tanker and pretty much work what hours I want. I start anywhere from 6:30 to 7:00 and I’m home NLT 5:00 95% of the time.
Those jobs are out there, but they’re not advertised.TB John, HiramKingWilliams and Lonesome Thank this. -
mjd4277, Opus and Frank Speak Thank this.
