Today will be an extremely hard day for me.

On June 10, 2011, my mother left this great earth and lives in heaven suffer free. Today she would've been 51. She was taken by the evil blight upon this world known as cancer. I was only 12 at the time and I was never the same after she passed. I hate cancer with a burning passion. 38 years old is much too young to be taken from this world.

I was planning to leave a few hours ago but overslept, and I had to visit mom first before I left town. I will try to work through this day as best as I can.

 

How can you not use a clutch, not even starting off?

 

Yep that's coolant all over the ground. Thankfully I'm still at my parking location and not on the side of the road.

I am thinking about coming back. I have been working in Alaska for the last month. I have been running up to Prudhoe Bay from Fairbanks, with some local work thrown in, and the money has the POTENTIAL to be phenomenal.... that hasn't been the case. I have made 8250 in the last month. While that is not horrible, those numbers would NEVER have got me to leave FCC. Between the truck that has had something wrong almost every trip, to customer trailers that would ALL be OOS if they were actually inspected, it's too much of a pain in the ### to be worth it. Right now, I am waiting on a customer to come take some crap off this trailer that was not intended for this load. It has been sitting on the yard in Fairbanks since last week. I should be somewhere on the Dalton Highway by now. And my clock already started...

 

I can only imagine the beating those trucks and trailers take up their

 

Well, coming out of a dead stop obviously I do. I just meant I don't for all the slow downs in traffic, as long as I can keep rolling and at least idle the left leg doesn't get used. Of course ya still end up coming to a stop a lot, but I'd still rather have a Manuel, just preference.

 

You with Carlisle, in the blue trucks?

 

I'd love to truck in Alaska, just to experience it.
