I think the huge benefit of the new, brand new, over something like that 18 GD, is I'm seeing more and more " trailer must not be more than 10 years old."

Not for weight. Think shippers just concerned over structural integrity.

Which is just someone in a meeting room, cause I've had some older trailers here that are in good shape, and some that were only a few years old, that had been damaged already.

When I was with LS way back, all of the tire companies that I dropped trailers at would check the Data plate to make sure the trailer was less than 10 years old before they let me drop.

Lately there have been agents requesting a photo of the data plate in order to book the load.

I think some, if not all, is self inflicted by management when they started bringing JUNK out of mothballs when it was real busy.

And they'll just have someone dump it in a trailer pool, then it becomes the unwary BCO's problem when he picks it up.

They howl of anguish about this on their Facebook page is becoming legendary, almost like everyone is from Michigan, but it is for not, cause it's how they do business. And they aren't going to change.

The OM has decided we're going to buy this and start doing RGN, and make millions of dollars.

Sounds like a chassis yard. Good luck finding a legal unit.
