Nope, it's one of those nuts that has the knurled surface so it acts like a lock washer. When I put it back on you had to jiggle the linkage to get it to fully engage the flat spots on the motor shaft... apparently the so called mechanic who put the motor in didn't even bother to check to see if it was all the way on before tightening...when I got it back it wiped a couple times. Never thought to check to see if it was put on right. Thank God they didn't rotate tires or I would have had a 'Ron White comedy bit' moment

Well my truck isn’t going without a fight. I did a reset at Wamsutter, which was a very poor decision. They haven’t had hot showers for over a month and every time I went for the restroom they were lined out the door.

Went to take off this morning and the truck died halfway up the on ramp. It would restart but die right away. After about 5 minutes I eventually got it to stay running. I’m not shutting it off again until I get to Washington. I tried to have our road service guy remotely pull codes, but after the warranty expires they no longer have that capability.

About 15 minutes after taking to Mike, I get the call that they have my new trucks plates and it’s ready for me to move in once I get to Washington. Hopefully it’s not as bad as I think it will be.

It knows you're about to part company with it, so it's throwing a temper tantrum.

I am still home. Was available as of this morning. But, it is FL and I am pulling a step deck...looks like I get a paid day off.

Since I am on a guaranteed daily pay, if I am available, and there isn't an available load, I get the daily pay, even if I am home.

Finally got a load. A broker load of PODS. 2 picks in Orlando and 1 over the other side of Tallahassee. 4 delivery stops, Spokane, Everett, Seattle and south of Portland. Didn't get the load info until around 14:00, so I will load all 3 of my pickups tomorrow and be in Spokane by Sunday with 3 of my 4 delivery stops supposed to deliver Monday and the final stop on Tuesday...and the best news is...no tarps!!!

Well new vs old. I got lucky, or maybe these trucks truly do take on a personality.

after my truck died getting on the highway yesterday, I didn’t shut it off until I made it to Boeing today. Restarted no problems, got unloaded, went to the yard and dropped my trailer. Shut the truck off in the bobtail area. Got the new truck and went to move my old truck to the open area. Nope, won’t even run good enough to pull out of that spot. Sounds like it running on two Cylinders.

Well on the bright side you will have a lot more room inside now…and from the sound of your engine issues it seems like the switch came at just the right time.

    dwells40 and kylefitzy Thank this.
