This "starter" carrier appears to be hiring aggressively (at the moment, anyway) in your area:
TransAm Trucking -- no experience needed -- class "A" cdl required -- Miami, FL
or (the same thing):
TransAm Recent CDL Graduate Driving Position - TransAm Trucking
Footnotes:
- The pay starts out on the low end -- but is raised every 3 months (in the first year) if you stay accident-free
- The bad news: it's NOT a local job...you'll be out of town for a while, then back....lather, rinse...repeat
- Don't feel all alone -- when I first started out, I had to kinda sorta take what I could get then, too
Also: you may (or may not) be interested in attending the following recruiting event (with Schneider):
Wed July 26, 2023 -- Schneider recruiting event -- Largo, FL
Just a thought: if you make a good impression with them later there in Largo -- they just might make an exception for you, and hire you out of their current "normal" preferred areas.

Go be a dock worker at an LTL and see if they’ll let you do first runs in a pup to get your feet wet.
dock workers will get paid better than an OTR job imo that’ll leaven look in your directionWildoutlaw360 Thanks this. -

What did Interstate Batteries have to say? -
I’m a crude oil driver in Texas so I’m biased to thinking that hazmat is where it’s at. It may not work for you immediately but all the different airports in Miami all need jet fuel. Someone has to get it there. After you lock down a starter gig this could be your next move and you could stay local.
