FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

I agree, you'll regret the Pete! I was in one as a loner for a week, I'm just a little shy of 6'5" and I hit my head every time I went in that POS, couldn't wait to get out of it. No issues at all with my Cascadia condo.

 

Aight fellas, I gotta rant for a minute. I encountered a FCC local driver in Dallas today, ( one of the Tulsa boys). I've met this guy once before, the only reason I remembered him is he was bi#ching and complaining about his DM and the company in general last time too! His DM is my DM ,so I know he's completely full of s and just plain lazy, so whatever. But this time the guy started bad mouthing everybody as he's in line at our customers window. I turned around and said " you're a local Tulsa guy huh?" He said yeah. I said "I remember you, guess nothings changed with you".... so I go find a spot to drop and look for my load. I find it in the same row he's double parked in ( shipper was a real cluster f today) so I pulled up beside him and told him I was grabbing a trailer behind him and I'd pull mine and go do paper work somewhere else if he's needing a spot. He's starts complaining that his isn't loaded and he's sick of that #### DM. I rolled up my window, backed up to my trailer and left him talking to himself. As I'm doing a walk around on my trailer, I see him walking down the other side, I figured he'd changed his mind and needed the spot. I walk back to him and he proceeded to tell me they canceled his #### load and this is ##### ridiculous, they've wasted 45 minutes of his time, he's sick of this s!!... umm.... you walked over here to tell me that? you get paid by the hour for everything you do, I don't! Go talk to someone else, I've got work to do." Got back in my truck, left him there mad cussing everything. Really wanted to knock his lazy ### out! Crap like this makes us all and the company look bad when some idiot Does this at a customer. Oh, and by the way, if they were really that bad of a company and that bad of a DM, they'd have left his sorry arss sitting there to layover till that load was ready instead of deadheading him home 280 miles that he's getting paid for and they're eating the fuel on! Just so he can sleep in his own bed tonight because that's what he signed up for. Gee, who's not holding up there end of the bargain here. This is why I try to mind my own business and not talk to other drivers usually, I have crap like this! We have a good thing going here at a good company. We don't need idiots like this ruining it!!... okay, I'll get down now and let somebody else have the soapbox.

 

I'd say report him but I'm not sure if anything would be done. I meet complainers all the time in this industry. If you don't like this industry and ##### and whine, find another profession.

 

Normally I'd never do that, but after I left the more I thought about the madder I got, I called, but Erik was in a meeting. Planning on calling him tomorrow. We are a small enough company, if ya go to the top, they'll listen and care, especially if they know you, but never hear from you.

 

It was ok 15 years ago but no way I'd go back .

 

Shame on you, you should have changed his diaper and gave him a fresh bottle.

Yes I can't stand people like that either but there will always people like him.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can't change and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those that pis me off .
