Is anyone else noticing that their QC now seems to be set to default to allow the 2/8 split without the little box being checked? Mine seems to be automatically assuming that I want to run a 16 hour day and gives me the clocks to run without checking that box. Strange.

    dwells40 and bzinger Thank this.

Glad to hear it’s all failing into place for you here. Yes, it’s an awesome company.

I'd honestly have it that way. My last company used Peoplenet at it would do that automatically.

Off to a great start with my truck.

Made it up to Blair and my truck decided that it didn't want to recharge air. A few minutes later I was making an ### of myself and holding everyone up in line because my air pressure was down to 50 and it wouldn't go into gear. Mercifully the air charged back up while I was on the phone with Glenn and he said to turn around and come back to Fremont.

It did it again as I was dropping my trailer in the yard but this time I heard a very audible popping sound coming from below the cab near the back.

Both these instances occurred when I drove some distance and then stopped and set my brakes. It never did it in normal driving.

I told Travis about the popping air and he suspects the air dryer is on the fritz.

On the plus side, the Bendix systems on this truck is a lot more quieter and less intrusive than the Freightliners. This Paccar 12 speed auto will get some taking used to though. How it operates is a lot different than the DT-12.

Yet another drawback to stupid automatic transmissions

It’s a S-hole, pull on the scale and check in with the pleasant lady in side the conex box. Then pull off the scale about even with the stone slicer thingymageg and open your doors. They will push pallets in one at a time, eventually it will look like a snake running down the center of your trailer. He leaves the last pallet separate from the others in order to legally scale the load. You will be heavy AF, if you have full tanks of fuel you might not get it legal.

I would highly recommend strapping the load. I used one on the original 10 pallets and two on the single, and it still moved. Enjoy!
