I figured out the power connector issue. I have a Cobra 29 LTD I purchased from Walcott earlier this year. Even with the stock antenna on my truck my SWR's are 1.1 across the band.

Why did Paccar think that this was a good antenna to put there? The thing doesn't even clear the roofline. 20230728_145713.jpg

Staying at home tonight since the KKOA car show is in town and they're having the drag races this evening at the old airport east of town. I will drop this tomorrow afternoon and then deadhead to load at Pactiv in Temple Sunday morning going to Sysco in Olathe for a drop as soon as I can get it there.

Both ends of that load are super easy. Light as air too!.... unlike the 79,380 (with 1/2 tank) pounds of paver stones parked in my driveway right now

Just put a taller antenna on and be done with it. I have have the same set up on my Freightliner with an antenna that clears the roof about 2”. Works great

I'm afraid if I put a taller antenna on that the first 13'8 bridge will lop it off

It won’t. Surely you are smart enough to slow if you encounter a bridge that low. I’ve had a 6’ Francis on mine for years and never damaged it.
