FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

I had that same problem with my first truck at Schneider. It blew the same coolant line under the cab 3 times in two weeks.

 

Already replaced both of them all the way back to the APU, of course that doesn't mean they aren't leaking again

 

To bad ya gotta be a made man in the mob to get a delete done these days .

 

Any other owner ops here use the health and dental insurance fcc makes available to us ?

 

Just the 401k and life insurance. I don't know if it is changed but when I looked into it, it was different than regular health insurance, more like supplemental, it wasn't major medical coverage is what was explained to me. I went with coverage through my wife's work. That was about a year and a half ago though, so things might have changed. Worth a phone call. Interested to hear if it's different now

 

Yeah it's everything from major med to disability to life insurance , dental and vision.
I took the best medical and dental plan they had at 627.00 a month single coverage.

 

Ok, they must have changed it. When I looked into it if I remember right it didn't cover hospital stays at all, or surgeries or something like that. I'm staying with my wife's anyway, glad it got better though.

 

It's not cheap on the front end and it's in network only but the co pays are cheap as are prescription co pays .
Very few and low deductibles too.
It looks almost as good as the insurance I had when I worked for pottawattamie County iowa secondary roads many moons ago but of course the county picked up most of the premium.

 

Well FML! looks like my week has gone to hell. I knew when I got to Fremont I'd probably end up going to Omaha Detroit for at least the DEF problems, of course the shop was busy so I went and talked to Shane first to have him call Detroit and see if they could get me in tonight, if so I'd come back to Fremont tomorrow for the coolant leak. He calls em, gets off and says yeah, they said they could start it tonight and you can stay with it. So I head to Omaha, check in here at 17:30, she's says ok, if we don't start it tonight we'll get ya first thing in the morning.. ugh!! If I'd known there was an "if we get to ya" I'd have left it in the Fremont shop tonight and came down here in the morning. Probably wasted a whole day at least now, I'd be surprised if I roll before tomorrow night at the soonest now... checked with CB after I got here and heard that, was gonna head over there tonight and back here tomorrow morning, but nope there busy. Guess I just screwed myself coming here first. That's truckin I guess.
