Surprise!!!!!(again). This load is a CH Robinson load. When I got the info via the CH app, it had 2 delivery stops...Slidell and Houston. When I got the SPD load info, it had 2 delivery stops (even showed only 1 extra stop on the main load msg, and loaded miles were close to the miles for 2 delivery stops.) The shipper came out and asked where I wanted them, but he had paperwork for 3 stops. Sent a message to my newbie, and he said the Workflow shows 3 stops(and I checked, and mine showed 3 as well)..when I mentioned that the load info and loaded miles were different than the Workflow, he re-sent the load info and Pooof, now they is 3 delivery stops on this load, and more miles. So far, I have had only a load or two in the last month that ends up not changing after it is sent to me.

Probably got offered an extra stop for more money on top. Things are constantly changing. To keep guys moving we often send enough info to get them headed in the right direction. I’ve even had load picked up that had nothing but the city and address TBD for delivery.

When I headed to pick up the load, I hadn't even been dispatched on it from SPD(newbie was at the doctor), so I didn't even have a trip number to put on my elog...I just put "empty" there. I only had the load info from the CHR app. I was sent the info enroute and changed it when I showed loading time. Don't get me wrong, it makes me more money since it's a tarp load with 2 extra stops, so that's a good thing...I just hate surprises. I am kinda a control freak when it comes to load planning.

Looks like my Monday is gonna be a hot one. Tuesday in Houston and Eastland a slight bit cooler (mid 90's instead of triple digits) which probably won't make much difference, but this is the job I chose. Could be worse I guess, I could be delivering in @TheBlockRobert's neighborhood which is possibly getting a tropical weather event. Who'd a thunk it...SoCal getting tropical weather before my very own state of FL. The world has truely turned sideways.

Oh, just read I-90 is closed from east of the Spokane Petro exit west to exit 245 both directions due to a wildfire around Medical Lake. It has already killed 1 and burned almost 200 structures.

I wonder when we installed the multi colored spaghetti dispensers on these trailers? At least it’s only 118 in this texas parking lot. IMG_5705.jpeg

If that's your trailer wiring, as much weight as you're hauling, it might be tough to find a shop with enough umph to lift it high enough to fix it.

This may have been the one in OR. Google has lost it's mind. Searched for crashes in North Powder, OR this week 2023 and it pulls up wrecks from 2021 and from over the country from years ago.

thank you for posting this. I had given up on looking for it. So Amazon flopped it over in the ditch blocking the hammer lane at darkness. Car hit the bottom of his trailer, killing the driver, then Crete came in and smacked them both. Hopefully the Crete driver will be okay, it looked nasty.

Amazon strikes again, will they ever be held accountable for the absolute morons they hire to pull their freight?

as for my issue, ain’t nobody got
Time for a mechanic. 435 worth of wire later, and a little over an hour of my time, back on the road. IMG_5708.jpeg IMG_5706.jpeg IMG_5707.jpeg IMG_5709.jpeg
