I like that fcc doesent just pay lip service to safety also and cheap out on it like trying get ya to drag trailers with issues to save a few bucks .
I also like not being rushed !

Well Saturday went better than expected. Was a lot of running but dropped in CB ran up to Fremont, got the Qualcomm replaced, sat in the safety meeting while the truck was in the shop, got rolling and got picked up. Sunday went alright other than a quick 'hop off to take a leak' turned into a bit of a fiasco. Between my addled brain and a Missouri construction zone that was a bit of a mess I wound up on a skinny state road headed into the sticks. Took 12 miles to find a safe place to turn around, which then meant my day was going to be long enough to need a 30 minute break. Knocked that out in Effingham. Dropped in Clayton and then bopped back home.
Get message from Safety asking me to certify a log and I was going to send a load acceptance macro as well so I bopped over to the truck and the qualcomm is dead as a doornail. Call Safety call Qualcomm. Furthest we got was I got the thing to get about 30 seconds into the bootup process before it popped and shut down. So now I've got to get routed to the shop again.
Bad thing is the load I'm grabbing is live load live unload from Wabash, IN to Hastings, NE so it's likely to be a time suck.
When I come back from my time off I'm going to move to Long Haul van. I assume I just tell my DM I want to move?

I usually do, but I share my other car now since they don't have a vehicle to use.

Just tell them what fleet you want to move to and when you want to do it. Depending on your DM, you might get assigned a new one. Some handle both regional and OTR while others are strictly one or the other.

Decided to take my 10 at the house coming back south rather than drive the extra 2.5 hours into Oklahoma. Upside is that I'm back to running my preferred times. Gonna leave out here in a couple minutes.

And also, my roommate would be using his truck but the A/C system was taken out years ago, and we're currently living on hells front porch.

After unloading here in Garland, I will head over to Duncanville to grab a preloaded trailer going to Shell Rock, IA. Never been to the shipper before so new experiences will abound.

That will be put on hold for a bit. Another driver told me i have a flat drive tire. Checked it out and that was indeed the case. It was fine this morning and I passed by the SB I35 scale in Oklahoma with no issues so I don't know what happened. Already contacted breakdown and they're gonna call me back.

How frequently do trailers tires blow out? Driving down I95 heading to FL there were tire carcasses all over the road!

cdavis188, bzinger and M22 rockcrusher Thank this.
