Sometimes you wonder if they’re trying to get loads mixed up…
They were both preloaded. Checked the trailer and seal number against the bills twice.

Pulled the wrong trailer at Schneider once while on a dedicated account. All the numbers were the same except the last two digits were flipped. Never even knew until the customer I delivered to told me. Thankfully I was only a few hours from the yard I pulled out of.

Had a truck hit me on purpose in Ma. Took 30 miles for Ma state troopers to pull him over, Told the cops he was looking for a safe place to pull over. Only in the Northeast.

Didn't get as much done Friday as I would have liked. Spent way too long at Sioux Bee trying to figure out where the shipping office was (instructions specify you are to check in there if they are open). I think they were at lunch. A worker coming back from lunch told me just to leave the pink in the bill box and take the yellow. Trotted back to the truck and was trying to hustle and got interrupted a couple times by other drivers trying to figure out what was going on. Also shot in a couple photos to the trailer damage report number (shiny new trailer with some even shiner and newer scrapes).
Trotted over to South Sioux City which bizarrely enough was north of where I was in Sioux City. That was fairly painless other than three trailers in the loaded line with similar numbers. Didn't help my anxiety when the phone rang right after my loaded call with someone from Fremont double checking which trailer I had.
Took that down to CB, did manage to get some more straps. Still need to come up with chains. Apparently it's not as simple as saying I'm going to long haul van. I'll have to find out what kind of chains specifically they want me to carry and then try again. Anyhow, I picked up my load home.
Shut down in Mound City, Missouri which wasn't as far as I wanted to make it for the day. Realized earlier in the day I hadn't uploaded any of my loads yet this week so rectified that while I was on my break. Found the pink for Sioux Bee that I was sure I had put in the nose box, so I had to call night dispatch and confess my sin.
Woke up to thunderstorms and they followed me all the way to Springfield, IL. Got to Clayton and got through the gate easily enough only to find the shipping office had decided to go home half an hour early. Went back to the shack and the nice kid in the guard shack signed my bills and gave me an empty to look for along with a backup in case that one was MIA (like I said, nice kid). Found it, it has the signed bills from the inbound load wadded up on the floor. So called the longsuffering gal at night dispatch and asked what they wanted me to with them. She told me to scan them in with the paperwork for my load, so that was easy enough. Beat feet back to the park location and shut it down with about 20 minutes left on my clock, swept out the trailer, did the aforementioned scanning in of the last load for the week, and headed home.
Bought a Garmin GPS. Love my Rand but the unit started having hardware problems really early in life and from what I understand the new ones do not work the same and have some new and novel issues. If the Garmin turns out to be a turkey and/or I hate it I got if from a seller that will take it back for 30 days.

Sioux Bee really needs to mark their shipping office better. Had the same problem you did and when I did find it, I stood around for 20 minutes waiting for someone to come into the office.

Pulled out of town yesterday afternoon and made it to my hidey hole near Paul's Valley, OK.

Was waiting on another FCC truck to clear the dock this morning and as he pulled out he clipped a J&C trailer. Oops. Spent an extra half hour on site talking to and calling various people then left.

Finished unloading here in Garland and I will head to Lancaster to pick up a load going to Target in Topeka. Planning on dropping that first thing tomorrow morning. Then hopefully I get a load up to CB to get my truck it's 8k service.
