Seems a bit much…

 

Made a round from kc to Indy to Louisville KY and back to Topeka after I got the truck out of the shop...grabbed another load off the kc yard yesterday going to Columbia sc for tmw and then up to cedar rapids iowa and home from there for a few days .
Will get a body shop estimate and meet with the insurance adjuster and hopefully settle up soon.
I'm still leaning towards them totaling it and hope they do but I could be wrong .

 

Alternator is 250, battery is 190, fan belt was 65, plus tax and all that

 

Bleeping automatics rot your brain. I don’t know how many times I’ve fondled the engine brake stalk in the last 24 hours trying to put the truck in gear.

 

Makes sense, that's why I only see a couple trucks there randomly. The shuttle would still be a good option for Midwest if he's wanting a room though

 

One would think that the vehicle that's 29 years old and has 214,000 miles would need this stuff, but nope. It's the one that has half the age and has well under half the mileage that broke down. At least it didn't happen on a big road trip
