Stopping at the Wichita yard for the night. Looking more like a Wylie yard today than an SPD yard, there are as many Wylie trucks as SPD. I saw more SPD trucks at the Love's west of here on US54 than here at the yard. Including a brown mid-roof 680 that had a company truck number on it. I am supposed to deliver in Park City tomorrow, but after calling and emailing for an appointment over the weekend, I got no reply from them, and they claim they only unload by appointment (supposedly are open over the weekends at that location, maybe they closed because it's a holiday weekend). We'll see in the morning. This has been a weird tour of duty this time...I have only done 2 34 hr restarts since leaving home.

By the way, a message popped up on my Love's app saying the problem with the points not being added when using the app to activate the pumps has been resolved. I tried it, and it now works like it should.

where are you going in park city? If it’s tmx, you absolutely won’t get unloaded without an appointment. Could always drop it at the yard and on to the next one, I know how much you love doing swaps.
As for resets, you can have one of mine, by Wednesday I’ll have had 3 in 7 days. At least two of them were at home, this holiday kind of screwed up my flow. That and this port refuses to load us on any day but Wednesday. That’s the only day they load out of gauge containers. Usually when we get there to load, our containers are with all the other regular containers. -

I’m betting the new warehouse is to take over for the one or two they closed in CA.JoeyJunk Thanks this. -

It's a #### shame that we were provided $25m dollars for new equipment, and so far, I don't think they spent a penny of it on stuff like tarps. The CNC machine had #### tarps, the load I took to SoCal had decent tarps, but the load I pulled out of Rancho had 1 of 3 tarps that was in good shape, the center tarp had holes at one end and near the holes it looked like cheesecloth, but it was fully covered by the other good tarp. The other end tarp was torn half way down the middle, and Rancho didn't have replacements. Get to Wichita and they don't have ANY spare tarps to replace them. I had to rob another flatbed of tarps so I can pick up another TMX 4 stopper ending in NJ. And the Wichita yard was a 5 finger fuster cluck. There must have been 15 outside carrier trucks picking up skid steers...not one of our trucks was getting any.
When I got to my pu, the lady said they heard the Wichita terminal is moving down the street somewhere...amazing how our customers hear about stuff before we do. Not sure if it's true or not.Last edited: Sep 5, 2023

yeah I don’t understand how Washington has all the tarps. There are probably 100 sets in the shop. Our drop yard in sc had one set of tarps between 7 open trailers last time I was there. That’s why I carry most of a set on my truck.
lots of us have known the Wichita yard was moving. The building was sold a year ago and the new owner is moving his business in. We are moving to a much larger yard but losing most of our warehouse space from I hear.
as for the skid steers, that’s not on us. They are not our loads or even Wylie loads. We are simply a warehouse for CNH. We can pick from available loads just like any other carrier.Winnyf1, brian991219 and Lonesome Thank this. -
I had a good set but had to give them up on that elevator load I dropped in Arlington. They just need to buy some new ones instead of the patchwork quilts we have nowLast edited: Sep 5, 2023
