Question: Thanksgiving is a very important holiday to me as it's usually the only time I get to see extended family. It's usually the only holiday I ask off. How soon should I let dispatch know that I want to be home for Thanksgiving?

Picked up my CR IA load this afternoon in Claremont NC and made it a few miles down the road and crawling and said Hell with it .
If I can't run 55 mph I'm not bothering and hung it up at marion nc ...why I don't leave the property when I'm home reconfirmed!
On a brighter note CertainTeed in Claremont are good people and in and out quickly.
Pushed my delivery in CR off to Thursday morning.gntorres61, cdavis188, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -
3:30 am and it's still 85 degrees ugh. A cold front is starting to move through the area so it'll be get down to 60 tonight. Supposed to be 90-95 into the weekend but then it cools down well into the 80's early next week. Fall can't come soone enough. For reference, the average for my area this time of year is the mid 80's for highs and the low 60's for lows.

Through FCC I encountered Kwik Trips. I’d deliver Eau Claire Menards then usually park at KT. It was also a fuel stop from time to time. Lost my loyalty card and went in to get a new one, registered it online and instantly won 50,000 points in their current promotion. So If I see anyone at a KT, chickens on me!!

Unloaded here at J&C. Gonna grab a trailer of pallets across town in Dallas and hopefully make it up to Oklahoma without hitting much traffic.

Found out today the guy that hit me was cited for leaving the scene and told the cops I hit him... but he left because he didn't any damage lol.

Well first week done. Not bad for first week 2700 miles. I am glad i made the decision to come to FCC, everyone is very helpful. It is sure nice not to have to wait 2-4 hours for a load. Taking 34 hour reset at the loves in calvert city, ky deliver down in cuthbert, Ga tommorow will give me a nice start to the week 1,000 miles. It is nice to be in good running truck too. It is nice to be able to drive 600+ miles a day.
