An old man's career goes flat, Snackbar moves to open deck

According to what Travis was saying, it's all part of this new transition to paperwork automation and is compatible with this new app they're coming out with. It really makes me wonder what's going on with Daseke. It doesn't sound like Daseke has a plan. 1st they make Liz go thru hassle of changing all our registrations and permits from INC to LLC, then change again when we went to IN base plates. Then make us stay with Peoplenet to be compatible with Wylie, now we're switching to a different system after some of the new trucks are being updated to the new Peoplenet tablets.

 

He also said we won't have Smartdrive going forward...I wonder what camera system they're going with in the future if they're getting rid of Smartdrive. Hopefully not one with driver facing cameras like so many other Daseke companies have.

 

But I draw the line at not picking my nose.

They put a driver facing camera in my truck, I strip down to my birthday suit and boots all the way home where I clean it out and tell them to schedule my flight home because I am bringing their truck back to them then they can look at the empty truck on camera.

 

And now my newbie dispatcher is asking for the transflow number or pictures from a load that wasn't even mine. This guy needs to get into a truck and stop trying to do office stuff

 

He was just lonely and wanted to be close to someone, sorta like an insecure puppy. If you would moved closer, he probably would have removed your mirror and bumper flag if he departed before you.

 

@kylefitzy, when they changed the OD pay a while back, did they also drop the retarp pay when you have a multi-stop tarp load? On that 3 stop out of VA, I didn't get paid for retarping the 1st 2 stops in that friggin heat. I noted it in the Travis box. I emailed Travis about it, but after I sent it I thought maybe they dropped that when we partnered with Wylie. Hope not, I am on a 4 stop delivery and have to retarp after the 1st 3 stops.

 

Speaking of pay...this weeks check had over $1300 in deductions between taxes, insurance and a few small cash advances I took for office supplies and truck supplies (ink and washer fluid). Sleepy Joe's tax gestapo owes me a 'thank you' card for my generous donation...heck, Love's has the courtesy to thank me when I 'round up' for the CMN kids fund, and combined that's way less than the IRS just took out this check. I didn't even get a peck on the cheek, a pat on the ###, or even a reach around when they were done doing the freaky on me.
