A lot of these companies seem really bad at math.
Sorry but $30/hr doesn't average $90,000. That's $62,400 gross.
So I guess it's the untold story of "how much overtime are we getting?" but overtime should never be factored in when saying what the salary is. Just put that overtime is available or I could see if they put "$90,000 average after overtime"
This isn't the first I've seen. Just one example.
Trucking salaries confuse me

(1) you won't get paid overtime in most trucking jobs.
(2) if you get paid hourly then work 60/wk X 50 weeks =$90kLav-25, tscottme, Albertaflatbed and 4 others Thank this. -
Without asking the source I can only assume they’re factoring in accessorial pay, perhaps stop pay, safety bonuses, etc…
That said, a lot of these companies do tend to embellish their compensation packages a bit.tscottme, Albertaflatbed, JoeyJunk and 5 others Thank this. -
How dare you impugn the reputation of these fine outstanding companies!
Next you'll tell me that a weekend with Maude includes alot of gravy.Crude Truckin', Blue jeans, BennysPennys and 9 others Thank this. -
In addition to all that, they probably quote their annual pay at 150k miles (3k per week x 50 weeks), but we all know that the majority of drivers average quite a bit fewer miles than that per year.BennysPennys, tscottme, Albertaflatbed and 3 others Thank this.

All of you guys who dare to say that trucking companies would ever misrepresent their pay, working conditions or benefits are guilty of spreading disinformation!! That's just crazy tinfoil hat conspiracy theory stuff!!
