Demanding pay for work not performed is absolutely ludicrous

Like Snackbar said. They’ll just drive all the production back to Canada and Mexico. And then piss and moan about them taking their jobs and closing plants here again.

The standard is a weeks pay. They can not expect to work less hours in a week for more money.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Is that UAW auto workers or simply auto workers in the US?

The average pay for UAW auto workers is $28 an hour or over $58,000 a year.

Not saying they don't deserve a raise but only by working the same amount of hours per week.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

They can't aforrd a $400.00 emergency. But they have the newest, biggest, baddest cell phone available. With every feature. at probably $2-300.00 a month. And a new vehicle, with a $6-700.00 payment, because they have to have the newest, baddest, etc.
    31k a year? Let's see that statistic.

Oxbow, BoostedTeg, azheavyduty and 2 others Thank this.

Where did you get overpaid from? They make $18 to $32 dollars an hour. They can’t even afford the new vehicles they build. They make about the same as truck drivers except they only work 40 hours a week as opposed to a truck drivers 80+ hours.

The unions get them paid holidays, benefits they can actually afford and a retirement plan. I get all of those without a union although my “retirement” is a 401k.

I’m not pro union at all but auto workers aren’t rich, they only survive because of the economically depressed locales most auto factories are located in.

    dwells40 and ncmickey Thank this.
