The restaurant industry is getting a bad rap, here. I’ve worked with a lot of amazing people in that industry. The ownership makes all the difference. If it’s a corporate store, then it’s crap. All the stores owned by someone with <10 stores were amazing, to work with. Sole proprietors have the best managers, which means the best leads and the best crews. My ex-wife was a co-manager under an ownership who wanted her to take on a store by herself. I was contemplating joining her and us running it together.

A friend ours owns a Carl's Jr. franchise. He says his employees that do the best work are the senior citizens. He'll hire every one he can get. He's tried hiring welfare rats, and recovering dopers, and homeless people and they were all disasters.
He'll take a gray haired wrinkled elderly person with a good work ethic every time.LtlAnonymous, 48Packard, buddyd157 and 6 others Thank this. -

I doubt McDonald’s in tifton Georgia is paying 19 dollars an hour.
Zonno Thanks this. -
Tifton has plenty of turf and sod companies
Those are out and back deliveries , since the turf and sod won’t live long if it stays on the truck . -
A friend of mine owns 11 zaxbys with her brother .
Anyone who has some work ethic can get promoted to store manager in a few months .
same with any store
I know someone who started at Sherwin Williams paint store working the counter and in a couple of years was the regional manager
same with auto parts .
I knew someone who started at Orlieys and became store manager in a few months and then regional manager and in a couple years was over every store in five states .
But there is also no way I’d ever be a supervisor again
Especially of part time constantly quitting folks
I used to be a supervisor of five people when I was the facility manager at a large conference center ,
It was good for me at the time , big raise , learned a lot etc , but no way I’d do it now .ducnut, 88 Alpha, 48Packard and 1 other person Thank this. -
I worked for Central in the 80's, when they were still Teamsters. Wasn't the best place, or equipment, can't believe it's gotten any better.
