I think all truckers should switch to using the MURS (Multi Use Radio Service) channels....its on VHF 151-154 mhz FM no license needed.... that would cut out the skip squatters ! how to go about getting that started .....I don't know, but it would be nice !!!

I'd settle for a diesel exhaust fluid hose that doesn't pull your shoulder out of the socket

I had mentioned MURS on one of the GMRS threads, but it fell on deaf ears. You can generally talk farther on VHF than UHF (out in the open) without a repeater. Plus like you mentioned, no license needed on all frequencies. But do to lack of noise toys, it will never be popular with truckers.

I think drivers will stick with AM much like pilots and ATC did, because of the characteristics. I wish it were different but I can't save the world lol

I was in eastern pa this morning and I could hear him clearly as if he was in the same lot. He was gone for a while but came back.

Yeah I heard him the other day, glad it was a low signal, I needed to talk to others so it wasn't bad at all.
