    Ok, anyone like seafood???

    … in Iowa???

(Not really a seafood region but…)

if you do, there’s a place called Red Anchor Seafood not far from the CB Shop that have great daily specials… today was 1# of Snow Crab Legs and 1/2# of Huge Shrimp (oxymoron) for $28 and the regular menu looked go too.

Red Anchor Seafood | Order Online | Seafood Restaurant | Council Bluffs

Seems to be owned by an Asian family as the entire waitstaff is Asian and the wording on the website reads like a Chinese Restaurant menu. (Not a slam at all as their English is much better than my Chinese… lol … just an observation)

Awesome meal off the truck today and I’ll be back again soon.

    mmmmmm

    I highly recommend it!!!

There were five us that loaded out of that shipper in Wellford, Sc today. We have one drop trailer there, but the live load went quick, it took me longer to get my paperwork than it did to get loaded.

Well, yee haw. Delivered to Ames, IA. Customer sent me to the wrong building (they thought it was dunnage instead of product) so after waiting for them to start on it I then had to respot it in the correct location. Was close to 3 hours start to finish.
Got a quick little run from Fort Dodge, IA to Lincoln, NE to set me up for a run to Ellabell.
Headed up to Fort Dodge, IA to Purina. Find my loaded…and it has a flat tire and is 3 weeks overdue on service. Luck didn’t entirely desert me though, the auto inflation system was able to air it up so Shane had me run it to CB. Had a senior moment at the Cat scale and slid the tandems the wrong way. Amazingly enough that didn’t fix the trailer tandems being overweight. :( They’re working on it now but expect it to take about 3 hours. Since I only had 4 hours left on my 14 I’m split breaking so I can get it there tonight (load was supposed to go a couple days ago) and then get to Kawasaki and get that picked up. Then I’ll have to find someplace to shut down before I turn into a pumpkin.

Fort Dodge loads heavy. Never scaled it since I knew the two scale houses I would pass would be locked up by the time I went by. Just did my best eyeing the axle gauge in the truck

We have a Drop Lot in Lincoln right where US77 (N 56th St) comes into town from Fremont. Just south of I80. I’ve parked there a few times.

    Midwest Towing & Recovery
(Big Lot behind the business… Go down the Right/South side of the business)
    7500 N 56th St
    Lincoln, NE 68514

and in a pinch, I’ve taken a 10 right outside Kawasaki along the road as you turn right out of the gate. Plenty of extra wide gravel well off the road. Guard said trucks park there occasionally without any issues.
