My Pete has the broken detent spring in the shifter also. Common problem in later model 579s. Sometimes when I go shift gears it like it's got a air bubble in it Lol.

dwells40, rokue and BigR Thank this.

Was leaning pretty hard into going back. It’s steadier money, it’s nice not being the FNG, and it was my social life, such as it was. It would be nice to be close at hand for the kids if the wife flakes out.
Leaning the other way now. It’s steadier money there but probably is a little less gross and a fair bit less net. Add on to that the cost of renting a place and then buying all the crap you need for a place and it’s going to be a lot tighter.
Also not sure what is better for me in all the non financial ways. I’m beat to hell after 20 years of driving with 16+ years of that with a side of humping freight. I don’t hurt all the time doing this. I don’t think the rut I was in was good for me in a lot of ways.
I’m still wavering. I have days where I feel like an idiot for quitting but I haven’t convinced myself to go back yet.

    dwells40 and runningman0661 Thank this.

I did a gig where you have to unload at HomeGoods stores it's okay if your trying to slim down and be home every other day. The pay isn't that good I only made $54k there. It's looking like I will make more than $85k here.
