Other than the rolling stop, the rest seems like typical rookie mistakes. I don’t think you’ll have too much trouble finding a new gig. But, you need to push yourself to really understand your HOS and proper trip planning.

I hope so, JB Hunt and Western are the only 2 companies that are really showing any interest right now. But that’s a start. I’m definitely going to do a lot better with my HOS this time around, that night they wanted me to split my clock to make it to the cons and it just got a little confusing because it had been showing that I was already in violation they never added the rest of the split to my ELD and I asked safety what was going on they were just like it was normal and to write everything down manually in case I got pulled in or something. I just ended up losing track of time that night. It was stupid on my end, but I’m learning.

If you aren’t logged in you can’t violate the 70 hours. Unassigned drive time was likely the result of a mechanic tinkering with the truck.

You can drive a truck without logging in, but someone is going to have to explain why the truck was moving without anyone logging in. In the past, a mechanic could cover the driver by saying, "It was me, doing a test drive after working on the truck", but those days are over.

Yeah, I moved into boat hauling for a year , then to reefers which is where I stayed for 18 years.
Western only has dry van and flatbed. I prefer reefers over those.
No bad experiences with Western Express. Some of my freinds stayed with Western Express the whole time I was pulling reefers.

You’re right smh I started to leave on my own a couple of weeks ago before all of this #### happened but I kept putting it off. Now look, and JB just rescind my employment offer because roehl put on my hire right that I got fired for safety reasons. I’m screwed.

Every time my truck gets worked on, I come back and have "Unassigned Driving" on my ELD. I can't certify any logs until I take care of it. I just reject the Unassigned time and I'm good to go. Have been inspected within a few days and nothing has ever been said by the DOT.
